Bringing Collaboration and Focus to InsurTech Solution Providers
University Park, IL – A team of experienced entrepreneurs and insurance industry executives announced today the launch of “Kaboodle,” a collaboration network of best in class insurance software and service providers. Jeff Brown will serve as the President of Kaboodle, bringing over 30 years of insurance industry experience to the team.
Kaboodle will accelerate the delivery of new and innovative products and services through a unique “plug in” methodology, allowing insurance transactions to be processed and consumed across a wide network of closely-aligned “member companies” and a diverse group of partners. Kaboodle’s first three member companies include Covenir, a business process outsourcing company; Insuresoft, a leading provider of core systems for property and casualty insurers; and Red Hawk, a systems integration firm.
“Using a ‘prove it first’ methodology, the past two years have been focused on assembling an outstanding team of industry and technology experts, recruiting and developing member companies while integrating their products and services, and attracting a diverse set of partners,” said Brown. “We’ve developed real business opportunities with new and existing clients to validate the business plan, expand the value proposition, and build momentum prior to the official launch.”
As President of Kaboodle, Brown is responsible for the formation and management of the innovative “shared services teams” who provide fully integrated services to the member companies, partners, and customers. These services, each run by a talented senior member of the Kaboodle team, include joint sales and business development services; rapid innovation and R&D; account and project management services; integration services between member and partner platforms; and a variety of other services that enable the network of companies to jointly and effectively service clients. Additionally, Brown is responsible for recruiting and creating new member companies and new business partners for Kaboodle, to provide for a continuous and ongoing flow of new products and services for their clients.
With 30 years of insurance IT and operations experience, Brown was most recently Co-Founder and CEO of Market Luminary, a strategic consulting firm that focus’ on unique growth and expansion strategies for vendors in the insurance industry. Prior to that he was Co-Founder and CEO of Blue Cod Technologies from 2000-2012, providing technology and business process services to the P&C industry. Previously Brown held senior IT and operations roles at start-up insurance carrier The Covenant Group, and Hanover Insurance Company. His entrepreneurial ventures outside of the insurance industry include Founder and Editor for a digital and print publishing company; Founder and President of several volunteer organizations; and he currently serves as Chairman of The Northeast Outdoors Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization.
